Hand Dyed Golden Copper Silk Double Cloth Scarf
A weekend of experimenting with different concentrations of Myrobalan and Tannin, this silk organza double cloth scarf shimmers gold and copper hues. Myrobalan is a tree from SE Asia and grows nuts that when simmered in water, give a soft yellow dye. Heavier concentrations make the yellow very bright.
The scarf is a versatile accessory because you can style it as a scarf or wrap. Very lightweight and great for travel, for a fall cruise or for the office.
The scarf is woven on a handloom in India by fair trade artisans. Two warps on the loom are woven at the same time, creating two layers joined by side seams. You can gently pull the layers apart to create more volume for styling.
Washable on a gentle cycle. You can hang it to dry and iron it.
Dimensions: 68” long, 22” wide.
100% Silk
