Hand Dyed Scarf Celadon Open Weave Tussah Silk Scarf

Hand Dyed with pomegranate and Saxon blue natural dyes, this open weave tussah silk scarf in celadon green is a fashion forecast color for 2017-18.  The scarf is long and can be styled in many ways.

Dimensions:  74″  Long, 15″ Wide

New for Fall!  This open check weave silk scarf was dyed with a mix of pomegranate and Saxon Blue indigo  natural dyes.  The mix creates a soft celadon green hue.  The scarf is woven by fair trade weavers near the east coast of India with tussah silk.   The silk worms are fed a diet of wild mulberry leaves.   The silk worm spins silk in a honey color.    Natural dye colors are different on a honey colored silk than a pure white silk.  The honey color base adds a soft undertone.

The scarf’s open check weave is airy and light. Long in length, it  can be styled in many ways.  You can twist it and tie the ends together to create an infinity scarf.

After the dyeing process, I washed the scarf twice and pressed it.  This silk scarf is very easy to care for and  can be hand or machine washed on delicate cycle. Colorfast.  Hang to dry, and iron if desired.

Eco-friendly and sustainable fashion looking toward the future, this celadon hue is one of the 2017-2018 fashion colors.
