Unplugged Ceremony Turn off your cell phones

To me, great card design is about drawing lines that welcome you to participate in the moment.  I have found a graphic artist who creates downloadable cards that have revolutionized my life.

Oak Atkinson is a talented commercial graphic artist.  For years she has designed greeting card templates and sold them on her website, tumbalina.com.  Recently Oak launched a specialty shop on Etsy that features wedding invitations, cards for bridesmaids and groomsmen, and a very cool “Unplugged Wedding” sign for guests.   Weddingsource.etsy.com has great designs for DIY Weddings.   If you want to save a lot of money, check out her collections.

Also featured on weddingsource.etsy.com are WiFi templates.  Our home constantly flows in and out with people.  I purchased one template, downloaded it and printed it in 5 minutes.  This was my first introduction to downloading cards.  It was so easy!  No running to the store, wasting gas or time.   You can frame your network information and place it in your guest room or kitchen–your friends will feel at home and relaxed.   The Wifi sign also makes a great hostess or housewarming gift.

Oak has an excellent sense of design.  She communicates by drawing lines and text that make the receiver feel special.    She distills the essence of the message by using fonts and text that are both strong and simple.   Oak also gives you resources to purchase paper supplies and other items for her downloadable collections.  Check out her new website on Etsy–weddingsource.etsy.com.
